The Republic of the Congo (or Congo-Brazzaville) is a sparsely-populated country in Central Africa. Not to be confused with its neighbor, democratic-republic-congo (Congo-Kinshasa, formerly known as Zaire). Its other neighbors are gabon, cameroon, central-african-republic and angola (cabinda). The official language is French; about 60 more languages are spoken in the country. The currency is the Central African (CFA) franc (XAF). The capital and largest city is Brazzaville.
