Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (French: Aéroport Paris–Charles de Gaulle; IATA: CDG), also known as Roissy Airport, is the busiest airport in france and one of the world's principal aviation centres. It is located 25 km (16 mi) to the northeast of paris.
CDG has three main passenger terminals and several satellite facilities. It is the primary hub of air-france, which operates primarily out of 2E and 2F. All terminals except for 2G are connected by an airport train system, CDGVAL, which also links to ground connections.
CDG is well-connected to Paris and the surrounding region. The RER Line B connects the airport directly to Gare du Nord. The airport TGV station, located at Terminal 2, offers connections across France and to Belgium. Both services are operated by sncf. Air France offers a combination air/rail ticket, TGVair, for which see tgvair. Air France also operates a coach service (Cars Air France) which connects CDG to the city and to Paris' other major airport, Orly (ory), located to the south of the city. There are no direct connections to Beauvais Airport (bva).
By road, the airport is connected to Paris via Autoroute 1 (A1), at exit 6.
