An Airline is a company that provides transportation services by air of both cargo and passengers. Airlines trace their origins to mid XIX century when Rufus Porter and Fraderick Marriott attempted to provide commercial service between New York and California using an airship and while project was unsuccessful the idea was born.

The first commercial airline was founded in Germany back in 1909, which was using airships. The first airline using heavier then air crafts started in 1913 in Florida.

The Oldest Airline still in operation is KLM founded in 1919.
