I am a marine fisheries biologist who turned seaweed grower of many species of seaweed to be used by asystem I developed at a NOAA Research Lab in Manchester, WA during the years of 2002-2008. I started the United States first land based organic certified sea vegetables farm in 2009. I am trying to pursue more funding from the accomplishments I have been able to achieve over the last 11 years. To date; I have grown 130 metric tons of biomass while cleaning 206-million gallons of eutrophic seawater and brackish watersheds. The biomass could be used for highly nutritious food or bio-energy. My system dubbed SSTCS farm could be placed anywhere there is an eutrophic effluent discharging into the environment or cleaning up a eutrophic watershed while creating a sustainable enterprise.
