I am a Chemist for a fossil fuel utility. I am working on Environmental Sustainability at Washington University in Saint Louis. I have a 140 acre farm and three children who wish to continue farming in their adult years. I wish to remineralize and revitalize the soils at this farm and through experimentation and research improve our food production and eliminate our dependence on fossil fuels.
A greenhouse is a very intensive practice with a small foot print. I have about fifty acres of woodlands. I am in proximity to much more than that so fuel is in abundance. using that fuel and its byproducts sustainably is important to me in practice and as a model for successive generations.
I have been raised in the Catholic School system and have studied History and Psychology as well as Chemistry and Labor Studies. I began converting to Buddhism several years ago as a way of dealing with the negative aspects of life on the planet and in finding peace from my demons through meditation and spiritual enhancement.
I can use any and all feedback and suggestions as creatively as I am able. I thank you now in advance for your contributions and for allowing me the opportunity to participate here.
