Within the context of sustainability, pest-management does NOT NORMALLY include the use of pesticides or chemicals. Instead it relies on environmentally friendly control techniques such as habitat manipulation, modification of cultural practices, and use of resistant or predator species. This is also called Integrated pest management or Ecological Pest Management.
