I'm about old enough to have fuzzy memories of watching the Apollo moon landings on black and white television.
I grew up in England and as a boy had dreams of being the first man on Mars - or at least some sort of astronaut - which transmuted to at leat getting a job designing rockets or satellites.
Instead I went overseas and taught English, and ran a couple of small development projects. I don't regret the change of direction! Doing that changed my life for the better. And I met my wife out there too.
Now we're back in her hometown in Canada, bringing up two soccer-mad boys. But I still have my eyes on the heavens and I drip-feed a blog named 'Red Planet Cafe'. Drop in some time and enjoy the view, scan the posts, leave a comment.
