Orbital Sciences developed the Cygnus spacecraft for cargo delivery to the ISS under the NASA COTS program. They received a contract for 8 launches of cargo.

Cygnus has a pressurized module, built by Alenia in Italy (same folk who made the MPLM's and most US Segment space station pressure vessels), and the propulsion/control module is based upon an Orbital satellite bus.
