I am an amateur photographer and love taking candid pictures. Capturing moments people often miss because they aren't really seeing life as it unfolds in front of them.

Currently I am using Nikon coolpix L830. I know it is basically a point and shoot camera, but that is what I have decided to use before moving to an SLR. I took a photography class in the mid 2000s but I don't remember much and I know I didn't grasp all the concepts in the class. Which is why I am starting with the L830. Although I don't have full freedom of the photos I take, I do have some control of certain settings that will affect my photos.
