Questions tagged [pc]

Use this tag for questions about the PC as a gaming platform, PC platform-specific game interaction, or the tweaking of a PC configuration for gaming. Otherwise, just state that you are playing on PC in the question body without using the tag. This tag covers Linux, Windows, and macOS.

Personal computers (PCs) are one of the many platforms on which games run. They include laptops and desktop computers running various operating systems, such as any Linux variant, macOS, or Windows.

They differ from video game consoles in that consoles are sold as embedded systems with static hardware that allows for development in a consistent environment. Pieces of PC hardware are more easily upgraded individually, but this results in many different environments against which companies develop games.

Tag usage guidance

Use the  tag only for questions that are either specific to the PC as a gaming platform, about the game’s PC platform-specific interaction, or about the tweaking of a PC configuration for gaming. Otherwise, simply mention that you are playing on PC in the question body without using the  tag.
