A variation of an old Minecraft version that can be played in browsers at classic.minecraft.net. Do not use this tag for the actual old versions of Minecraft Java edition.

Some of the early development versions of Minecraft Java edition were called "Classic". For Minecraft's 10's anniversary, Mojang made a variation of those available to play for free at https://classic.minecraft.net.

Note that this version is indeed different from every version of Minecraft Java edition ever released, not only because it is written in JavaScript.

I get a white screen when sharing Minecraft classic links from Minecraft.net

Why does Minecraft Classic show the menu when mining/placing blocks?

When I play Minecraft Classic, sometimes the menu screen appears when mining/hitting/placing blocks. It starts to get annoying when you are trying to make a giant house. So my question is why does it appear, and how to remove/prevent it.
