Harvest Moon: A New Beginning is a farming game developed by Marvelous AQL, and published by Natsume. It is the first Harvest Moon game developed exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.

Harvest Moon: A New Beginning is a farming game where the players end-goal is to make a successful farm in a nearly deserted town, Echo Village. Like previous games in the series, it includes features such as fishing, planting crops, raising livestock, and mining.

New features in A New Beginning include a wide variety of customization options. Such as the ability to customize the appearance of the player character, the players farm, and the town. Other features new to the series include new crops (cacti and cotton), a new animal (Yak), a new fishing method (fish trap), and a more fleshed out pet system.
