Diablo is an action role-playing series, that was released in 1996, by Blizzard Entertainment. The series centers around an eternal conflict between the inhabitants of the fictional world, Sanctuary, and the prime evil and Lord of Hatred, Diablo.

There are many features that are universal in the Diablo franchise. Items are randomly generated, and usually have many abilities assigned to them. Various maps in the Diablo world are randomly generated in each game, and there is a big focus on replayability.
