A 2013 life-simulation game developed by Nintendo EAD and MonolithSoft, New Leaf is the 4th game in the Animal Crossing series. The player is a mayor of a town full of anthropomorphic animals, and sets about improving their home and entire town in various ways. Do NOT use the Animal-Crossing tag along with this.

Released June 2013 for the 3DS, New Leaf is the 4th game in the Animal Crossing series, and the first in Nintendo's popular life-simulation series to allow the player to become the mayor of the town rather than just a resident. The player can now improve not only their home, but their entire town in various ways.

Players are able to interact with other players worldwide via Nintendo Wi-Fi connection.
