Types and varietals of coffee beans, their qualities, and properties.

Questions related or is about the different bean types should have this tag. Questions that have this tag should also have a specific problem needing to be solved about a certain type of coffee bean in a certain situation like:

  • How to grow this type of bean?

  • Can this type of bean be altered to be more sweet/bitter?

  • Which types of beans can be used for cooking?

Those are just some examples. Coffee beans are used to make coffee. They come from coffee plants and are many types. This creates a variety of attributes for each type. Flavor might be affected all the way to the type of coffee that is brewed from it. Problems will arise when you only know how to use bean type A while you need to use Bean B.
