Questions tagged [fluxx]

A card game where the rules change as you play, and there isn't a goal until someone plays one. The goal changes just as often as the rules do, but most goals revolve around collecting particular "Keepers."

The Fluxx tag should be used on all Fluxx games, because they're so similar. This includes:

  1. Fluxx
  2. Cthulhu Fluxx
  3. Oz Fluxx
  4. Star Fluxx
  5. Pirate Fluxx
  6. Zombie Fluxx
  7. Monty Python Fluxx
  8. Martian Fluxx
  9. Family Fluxx
  10. Eco Fluxx
  11. Stoner Fluxx
  12. Regular Show Fluxx
  13. Monster Fluxx (Target Exclusive)

There are small variations between the versions of Fluxx (some have Creepers and others don't; only Cthulhu has the Doom Count), but they are quite small, so we only have one tag for this family of games.

Do I have to keep a creeper whenever I draw cards in Fluxx, even if I was drawing cards to give to other players for "Everybody Gets 1"?

Interesting scenario the other day. When playing the Action card "Everybody Gets 1" I drew a Creeper card. At this point though I had a conundrum. The Creeper card states I "must place it face up in front of you as soon as you get it." Well I wasn't…

What are the differences between the Fluxx games?

I currently have Fluxx and Zombie Fluxx, and I've noticed there are some differences: obviously, Zombie Fluxx is more centered around creepers. Zombie Fluxx is considerably less random. Less crazy things like X=X+1 and less weird rule cards. Since…

Play all but one + hand limit zero + draw one = stalemate?

If the current rules include "Hand Limit 0", "Play all but 1", and "Draw 1", doesn't the game just kind of... stall? This has never actually happened but thinking about it, we figured we'd probably have to count that as a case of "everyone loses"…

Can Monty Python Fluxx be used with the regular Fluxx deck, or is it a separate game?

As far as I understand, Monty Python Fluxx is a separate game, not an expansion pack, that doesn't require the original Fluxx deck to play. But can it be used with the original deck - can it be used to supplement the original cards, or does it not…
