  • 🌍 Matara archeological site. Matara was a major city during the DÊżmt (𐩔đ©Č𐩣𐩩) and Aksumite kingdoms. Among the ruins is the Hawulti obelisk, the oldest (4th century AD) example of Ge'ez script, also known as Old Ethiopic. (updated Oct 2020)
