Juan Santamaría International Airport (Aeropuerto Internacional Juan Santamaría; IATA code: SJO), or San José Airport is located 20km (12 miles) west of san-jose. It is the busiest international gateway to costa-rica, a focus city for avianca and copa, and a hub for Volaris, Nature Air, and Sansa Airlines.
It should not be confused with the Mineta San Jose International Airport (sjc) serving san-jose-california, USA.
